With over 30 years of dedicated ministry experience, Pastor Patrick L. Turner has consistently demonstrated a heart for God, a passion for people, and a commitment to the growth and health of the local church. His ministry has been marked by spiritual leadership, community engagement, and the pursuit of excellence in service to the Kingdom.

Pastor Turner was called into the Gospel Ministry when he was 16 years old. He later began his pastoral journey in 1990 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Marshall, TX, where he served faithfully until 1996. Under his leadership, the congregation grew from just 15 members to over 100, becoming a thriving ministry. During this time, Pastor Turner also made history as the first African American male to own and operate an all-FM Gospel radio station west of the Mississippi—broadening the reach of the Gospel across the region.

 

In 1996, Pastor Turner was called to serve at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX, where he began as Associate Pastor and was later elected as Senior Pastor in 2005. For nearly three decades, he led the church through a powerful season of growth—expanding to over 400 members, guiding the congregation to retire its mortgage, and acquiring a new worship facility for the growing ministry. This new space not only accommodated the growing church family but also included a full-time daycare ministry, serving the needs of local families while deepening the church’s connection to the broader community. Under his leadership, the church flourished with a strong team of 12 deacons and 6 associate ministers. Pastor Turner’s impact goes for beyond those he directly ministers. He has trained and mentored many whom have also been called to Preach the Gospel over the years, by sharing his skills, knowledge, and experience with future generations of ministers.

 

Now, in a new chapter of his ministerial path, Pastor Patrick L. Turner has been called to serve as the Senior Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Denver, CO. He steps into this role following a long season of pastoral search for Macedonia Baptist Church. Pastor Turner is committed to charting a faithful and forward-looking course for Macedonia, rooted in the Word of God and grounded in service to both the church and the surrounding community.
